A recent study showed eleven of the 50 most dangerous highways in the United states are located in Texas. The study, conducted by Value Penguin, pulled data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s Fatality Analysis Reporting System (NHTSA-FARS). The study considered several different factors in making the assessment, such as fatalities per crash, miles-traveled per capita and percentage of fatal non-vehicle collisions. While no one wants to be one of these statistics, vehicle accidents do happen and they can cause mental and physical pain.
Auto mishaps can have many different causes and sometimes determining who or what is at fault can be a complex process. If there’s a multi-car pile up, for example, the process of figuring out who is responsible for what damages can be a lengthy and arduous process. Additionally, there maybe some outside factor that contributed to the impairment of a driver before they caused a crash. A bartender continuing to serve a customer alcohol past what they reasonably should, would be a case where on outside party contributed to the occurrence of an automobile accident.
