DPS Troopers Step UP Their Game For Spring Break
The spring break season is upon us once again, and this means there will be more parties, more drunk drivers, and more car accidents during this time. As a response, DPS has announced that they will be working with other Texan law enforcement agencies to enforce traffic laws and keep the roads safe during the spring break season and Saint Patrick’s Day, according to this report from CBS DFW.
Operation CARE (Crash Awareness and Reduction Effort) is in full swing this spring break season, and Highway Patrol Troopers and other agencies across texas will be stepping up their traffic enforcement efforts during this time. DPS Director Steven McCraw said, “Spring break can be a time of fun, but we want the people of Texas, and visitors to our state, to enjoy themselves responsibly.”
This means everyone can help by being responsible on the road, obeying traffic laws, and wearing their seatbelts.
“The public can help out Troopers,” McCraw continues, “by driving safely and obeying traffic laws. DPS will join other law enforcement agencies in patrolling our highways to help keep them safe from reckless drivers or anyone who is not following the law.”
Of course, we can all help keep roads safe by obeying the law at all times, not just during the current spring break season.
