Two People Steal Truck, Crash Into A House In Fort Worth
A strange incident happened in Fort Worth involving a stolen truck. NBC reported on the incident.
The assault happened in the wee hours of the morning on Merida Avenue. Two men struck a man in the back of the head and stole his F-250 truck for a joyride.
They didn’t get very far. After going around the block, they crashed the vehicle into a house on Sandage Avenue before running away. No one was injured in the crash, but the house was heavily damaged.
Police are searching for the thieves and also said that the assaulted man was injured in the incident.
The story reads like something out of a video game, but sometimes people do steal cars for short joyrides. We hope that the police are able to find the culprits. They have a lot to answer for!
But what if the original owner is sued by the homeowners? Yes, they could face a lawsuit. However, if the truck owner proves that the vehicle was stolen, the chances are good that the homeowners wouldn’t win that case.
