We hope that the drivers responsible for these incidents are found and brought to justice. It’s not just the law to stay at the scene of an accident. It’s the humane thing to do. If we were hurt in an accident, we would want those involved to stay and help us.
Fleeing is cowardice, and it is punished accordingly by the law. Leaving the scene of an accident immediately shifts the blame for the crash to you and opens you to both civil and criminal penalties. Don’t do it!
