Two Children Dead In Denton Crash

Highway 380 in Denton was shut down for about three hours on Sunday due to a crash that killed three people. Two of them were children. Times News Express reports.

The crash happened around 11:45 a.m. near Rockhill Road on Highway 380 westbound. Police and fire crews responded to the scene. Two cars, a Ford Mustang and a Mercedes-Benz, hit each other head-on and spun out. Two other cars got tangled up in the crash. Police are still unsure about why the crash happened.

Two children, a four-year-old and a one-month-old, were killed in the crash, along with one adult. Three other adults were injured.

“Our hearts go out to everyone involved in this tragedy, and we ask that the community keep everyone involved in their thoughts as well,” Denton police said in a news release. The highway in this area is a seven-lane two-way highway with a central turn lane, so there are ample opportunities for causing a head-on accident.

We, too, wish to extend our condolences and hope that everyone injured recovers. We also hope that the police discover which driver caused the crash. Once that is done, the process for seeking compensation can start.
