A Car Crashes Into A Starbucks And Injures Three Customers
WFAA reports three people were injured at a local Starbucks when a car plowed through the front window, injuring three customers.
The accident happened yesterday morning in Coppel. Of the three injured people who were injured at the coffee shop, two of them had to be taken to the hospital for their injuries. The driver seemed physically unharmed, and they were able to get out of their vehicle. Police are still investigating the crash.
Can you imagine standing in line for coffee and seeing a vehicle crash through the window? It sounds like something out of an action movie, but the consequences are all-too-real. This kind of accident can happen easily when a driver confuses the car pedals and hits the gas instead of the brake.
Though accidents like these can happen at any time, some businesses have built-in safety features to prevent severe damages to the building. If you ever go to a big box store, you might have seen concrete pillars standing in front of the entrance. Those are to prevent a vehicle from driving into the building. Smaller stores don’t have that kind of protection.
We are glad to hear that the injured people are expected to survive, and we hope that the insurance company covers their costs and the costs of repairs for the coffee shop. If you are injured on the premises of a private business, you too may be able to make a claim against their insurance. Contact a personal injury attorney for advice.
