    Dallas Crash Injures Eight

Two vehicles and eight people were involved in a dangerous accident in southeast Dallas early Sunday morning, according to this report from NBC DFW. Deputies of the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to a major accident at about 1:06 a.m.

The accident was at the intersection of Westbound CF Hawn Freeway and St. Augustine Drive. Multiple Dallas Police Department units also arrived on the scene.

The first of the two vehicles involved was a black 1999 Chevy Silverado. It had struck a pole at the intersection. The second vehicle was farther down the service road, a dusty gray 2015 Nissan Pathfinder.

The authorities believe the crash occurred when the Silverado ran the red light at the intersection, hitting the Pathfinder at a high speed, subsequently crashing into the pole.

Multiple people had to be taken to the hospital after this horrendous crash. One woman had suffered from bad burns and was lying on the ground near one of the vehicles when the police arrived.

A 21-year-old man named Pablo Hernandez Martinez Jr., the driver of the Silverado, was taken into custody. He’s facing the very serious charge of intoxication assault with a vehicle causing serious bodily injury. Fortunately, nobody died as a result of the accident, though some did seem to be badly hurt.
