Road Rage Accident Leads To Shooting In Grand Prairie
Some might say that tempers are flaring from the stresses of having to deal with the pandemic, while others might blame our society as a whole. Today, however, it seems like there are more aggressive drives out on our streets and highways than ever before. Drivers are now taking out their frustrations from behind the wheel to the point where someone gets hurt or ends up getting killed.
The Dallas News reports that Grand Prairie Police have arrested a man after they found another man that had been involved in a traffic accident shot and killed.
According to a statement issued by a spokesperson for the Grand Prairie Police Department, dispatchers received a call for a collision on the afternoon of Thursday, August 5th, in the 700 block of East Palace Parkway in Grand Prairie.
When officers arrived at the scene of the accident, they found 21-year-old Owen Dewar of Murphy inside his black Mazda Sedan dead of a gunshot wound to the head immediately following a collision.
Police later identified the suspect as 28-year-old Roland Al Randall Jr. of Garland. Randall was taken into custody and is facing the charge of murder. So far, police investigators believe that Randall acted alone. No other suspects are being sought in Dewar’s murder.
The motivation for the killing is unknown.
This is a developing story as the incident is still currently under investigation.
