Police Arrests Woman Who May Have Been Involved In Hit And Run In Buckner Terrace

Getting into an accident can be terrifying. This is especially true if you are the one who caused a crash resulting in significant damage, or worse if others are seriously hurt or killed. No matter where you are, most states require that drivers involved in an accident to stay at the scene until they are released by law enforcement. Others, like Texas, also require drivers to render aid if possible.

CBS Local in Dallas-Fort Worth reported on their website that Dallas Police had arrested a 26-year-old woman they believe was involved in a deadly hit-and-run crash in the Buckner Terrace neighborhood last week.

Investigators say that at approximately 1:15 a.m. on Tuesday, September 17th the victim was attempting to cross the street in the residential neighborhood in the 7100 block of Military Parkway when he was struck and killed by a vehicle. The driver did not stop to help the victim or remain at the scene.

The victim was later found by a passerby who called 911. Officers with the Dallas Police department declared the as yet unidentified victim dead at the scene.

Witnesses nearby gave investigators a description of the suspect vehicle. In an update, police found the suspect and are continuing to investigate the fatal crash.

Authorities have not yet released the identity of the suspect that they believe was involved in the crash.
