One Of Two Juveniles Injured In Crash Flown To Denton Hospital

Have you ever seen a youngster driving a car and cringed inwardly? He or she looks so young, you may think. Are they old enough to be driving? Are they being safe, or are they likely to do something foolish, hurting themselves or others? Of course, many juvenile drivers today are safe and responsible on the road. Being young doesn’t make you necessarily more dangerous behind the wheel. Plenty of middle-aged adults cause accidents, and we’re not even discussing seniors and the accidents they cause.

That said, there are times when younger drivers make decisions on the road that lead to property damage, injury, and–sadly–even death. Take the example of two juveniles driving just north of the Texas-Oklahoma border.

According to this report from the Ardmoreite, two juveniles driving just north of the city of Wilson in Carter Country were involved in a single-vehicle accident that resulted in both of them being injured. The accident happened around 6:43 p.m.

The accident happened when the vehicle the two youngsters were in took a curve too quickly and lost control, departing the roadway.

The driver, a 16-year-old male, was transported to Ardmore Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma.

The passenger, a 15-year-old female, was flown to Medical City Denton in Texas. She sustained a leg injury.
