NFL Player Accused Of A Drunken Hit-And-Run
In a story that has reached the national news level, an NFL kicker is accused of committing a hit-and-run while drunk in California. Valley Central reported on the incident.
Aldrick Rosas, a kicker for the New York Giants, is the player accused of the crimes. He allegedly ran a stop light and crashed his SUV into the side of a pickup truck near Chico, California. He then left the scene and drove the SUV until it broke down. After abandoning it, the police found him and arrested him on suspicion of hit-and-run and driving on an suspended license.
Witnesses say that the SUV was passing traffic on double-yellow lines and going over 100 mph. When he was arrested, ther was blood on his body. The police suspect that he was drunk at the time, but no toxicology tests were finished at the time of writing.
Rosas has been a star player, but now the NFL is considering what to do with him after the crash. There is a chance he could be let go from the team for his actions.
