Crash On I-35E In Denton Leaves Pedestrian Dead

One person is dead after a crash on Interstate 35 in Denton on Sunday morning, according to this report from WFAA. Police are still investigating the crash to find out what happened and who is responsible.

The crash happened at about 7 in the morning on Sunday. Reports came in of a person badly injured there, near exit 472. Police were not immediately able to ascertain how many vehicles were involved in the crash or who was responsible. Because this was a hit-and-run situation, they will have to rely on forensic evidence and witnesses coming forward with helpful information.

The northbound lanes of I-35E were closed for about 5 hours as police worked the scene. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Traffic was not allowed to pass there until about noon after police had gathered all the information they could from the scene of the crash.

It’s sad to imagine, but many times these kinds of accidents go unsolved. If there was no forensic evidence at the scene or on the victim’s body or clothing, and if not witnesses were present, law enforcement investigators will have very little to go on to find out who was responsible.

It there is the possibility that more than one vehicle was involved, this can help the authorities because it is more likely someone will come forward in connection with one of the drivers or vehicles.
