Couple Drives Off Service Road, Crashes In Backyard, One Dead
Sometimes an accident is so severe that it can be hard to tell who was driving at the time of the accident. Such an accident happened in Dallas recently, according to WFAA.
A couple was driving on the I-20 service road near Santa Rosa Way after midnight. For reasons unknown, the car veered off the right side of the road and crashed through a fence and into the backyard of a house.
The car’s driver door was pinned and both people had to be pulled out of the passenger door. Things were so mixed up that they couldn’t tell who was driving at the time of the crash.
Sadly, the woman died from the impact and the man was taken to the hospital for injuries. Detectives are now investigating to figure out what caused the crash.
This dramatic accident could have been caused for a number of reasons. Given the late hour, drunk driving or driving while fatigued are good possibilities, but something as simple as dodging debris in the road could cause a car to leave the roadway, especially on a narrow service road.
We hope that insurance will pay for the medical costs of whoever was the passenger in this case.
