Accident In Dallas Caught By Many Cameras, Possible Road Rage Accidents
Thanks to devices like Ring, many homes are recording surveillance footage of their local streets. This footage can be obtained by police as evidence. But not everyone goes as far as the man who caught the footage in this case reported by Fox 4 News.
A retired electrician with 56 cameras on his property caught the crash as it happened in Pleasant Grove. In the footage, a truck speeds away from a Chevy Impala at Lake June Road and St. Augustine Drive. The Impala ran a red light and crashed into the side of another vehicle. From the footage, it appears the Impala was speeding.
Fortunately, everyone in the crash survived, including the 4-year-old child in the Impala. When questioned, the driver said that he was following the truck because he thought that someone in that vehicle fired a weapon at his car. However, neither the video nor nearby witnesses saw the alleged shooting.
The retired electrician hopes his cameras picked up enough information for the police to identify the other truck and that people slow down at the intersection in the future. He thought it was street racing at first, but police are investigating the possible road rage incident.
We are pleased to know that no one was injured in the accident.
