    A Car Crash Wrecks A Home, Injures A Driver

    The NBC affiliate in Dallas –Fort Worth reported on Monday that a driver was injured after he crashed his vehicle into a home on Sunday night.

    A spokesperson for the Dallas Police Department said in a statement that police officers and firefighters responded to the crash that happened on Sunday, August 9th, at approximately 9:35 p.m. in the 3700 block of Crenshaw Avenue.

    Investigators say a driver of a red Honda sedan was traveling on South Avenue when they lost control of their vehicle and crashed into the front of a home located at 3702 Crenshaw Avenue.

    During the process of the crash, the car rolled over to end up with its front end stuck in the ground. The rest of the vehicle was propped against the front of the home.

    Firefighters were able to extricate the driver from their vehicle to be transferred to an area hospital for treatment of injuries suffered in the crash.  Their injuries are not considered life-threatening. Their identity was not released at the time of the report.

    Police did not say whether anyone was inside the home at the time of the accident. No other injuries were reported.

    The accident is still currently under investigation. So far, it has not been determined whether speed or impairment by drugs or alcohol played any role in the accident.
