Woman Struck By Driver on East Lancaster
Millions of people cross roads on foot every day. When all goes well, vehicles and pedestrians share the road with no problems. But when they don’t, accidents happen and people get hurt.
Just recently, a woman was struck crossing the road according to NBC Dallas-Ft. Worth. She was crossing the road late at night at East Lancaster near an apartment complex. She was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Whenever late night accidents happen, there are a lot of questions regarding whose fault it was. Darkness makes it difficult to see pedestrians even if they are crossing the road at a legal crosswalk. If the woman was jaywalking that would make it doubly hard to see them since they would come out of nowhere.
On the other hand, drivers driving at night can be inattentive because there are fewer vehicles on the road. They could even be drunk or distracted.
