Police Chase Ends With Three Injured
A police chase through Dallas last Monday has left three people injured and a home damaged. NBC 5 reported on the incident.
Officers were notified of a robbery in progress at midnight near Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Robert B. Cullum Boulevard. When they arrived, they found a stolen vehicle that matched the description. When they tried to stop the car, the driver fled.
Officers chased the vehicle down I-30 East for a while until the suspect exited at Winslow Avenue and got on the service road. Then the driver crashed through a fence near St. Charles Avenue, ending the chase.
The three occupants of the vehicle were injured and taken to a local hospital. No charges have yet been filed over the incident.
As exciting as police chases may look on TV and the movies, most officers do not like doing them. Chasing a suspect is really dangerous for everyone on the road. It is easy to cause an accident and involve innocent bystanders.
