Car Catches Fire, Falls Off Bridge In Fort Worth
Sometimes a crash is so severe that there is little chance of surviving it, no matter what safety features you have or how well you can drive. A crash like that happened in Fort Worth last Tuesday. CBS reports.
According to the police report, the crash happened at 5015 East Loop on the 820 South Freeway. For unknown reasons, two vehicles hit each other at high speed.
The collision was so hard that one vehicle caught fire immediately, then fell off of the bridge they were on onto Martin Street. The driver int hat car died at the scene.
It sounds like something out of an action movie, but there’s nothing exciting about it. We hope that the police can figure out which driver was the responsible one.
It’s clear that speeding was a factor in this crash. For a car to catch fire like this, something has to crack open the fuel system and expose it to enough heat to catch the gasoline on fire. It’s also possible for a crushed battery to catch fire as well. However it happens, a car on fire is an emergency situation.
Should you ever find yourself in a burning vehicle, get out as soon as you can and move at least 100 feet away from it in case it explodes.
