Bus Accident in SE Dallas
An accident on Saturday afternoon has sent two people to area hospitals after a car slammed into the rear end of a Dallas Area Rapid Transit bus in Southeast Dallas.
One passenger from the bus was sent to Baylor University Medical Center, while the other went to Parkland Memorial Hospital. Their injuries were not believed to be serious.
While the car sustained damage to the front of the vehicle, there was no apparent damage to the rear end of the DART bus where the car crashed into it.
A Dallas police car was also involved in a minor accident on the way to the bus crash scene, however, no one was hurt.
Each year, thousands of people are injured in accidents that involve buses. Insurance companies who represent bus, transit companies and even the municipalities or cities that run them would much rather deal with the claims of injured passengers directly. The last thing that they want is to have accident victims hire an experienced attorney, especially if the injuries are serious or there is a fatality involved.
