5-Year-Old Manages To Drive SUV Two Miles Before Stopped By Police
An unusual story that received national attention involves a five-year-old who stole his parent’s car because he wanted to go to California to buy a Lamborghini. CBS reports.
After his mom refused to buy him the expensive sports car, the boy took the keys to his parent’s SUV and successfully drove it two miles before he was stopped on I-15 in Utah by the police.
The boy told his story to the trooper. A dash camera recorded the interaction. Later, it was found that his sister was supposed to be watching him while his parents were at work. She took a nap and that’s when the precocious boy made his move.
It’s incredible that the child did not get into an accident. After the story was made public, the family is getting offers from people to help make the boy’s dream come true. One Lamborghini owner already took the boy for a ride in his car.
According to the young boy, “Police say I drive good.”
Maybe he’ll be a future racecar driver in the future, but his parents are going to have to do a better job of hiding their keys! Sometimes a child will get into a car and accidentally put it into gear. This can cause a crash and a much more tragic situation than this one.
