Teen Girl Dies In Flower Mound After Crash, Was Not Wearing Seatbelt
We have another tragic example of why everyone needs to wear their seatbelts when they are on the road. DFW Scanner reported on an accident in Flower Mound that claimed the life of an 18-year-old woman who didn’t wear her seatbelt.
Police say the accident happened on the Flower Mound / Lewisville border just before noon. They believe the woman was driving east on Round Grove Road and lost control. The car went across the middle of the road and hit a tree and a telephone pole.
The woman was not wearing her seatbelt. Police found her body away from the vehicle, dead at the scene. No other cars are believed to be involved in the accident.
Whenever you get into a car and leave the belt off, you are putting your life at risk. Your chances of a fatal accident double if you don’t wear a seatbelt. Yet some people still refuse to wear them. Don’t be one of them.
Wear your seatbelt every time. If there are problems with the belt, get it fixed. If you need more length in the belt, buy an extender. Do whatever you need to do to keep your belt on and stay alive! Don’t forget maintenance on the rest of the safety features too, including tires and brakes.
