SH-183 Crash In Euless Kills One
Road debris can easily cause an accident by bumping a car off the road or flattening a tire. Sadly, such an incident seems to have happened in Euless last night. One person was killed. The Times News Express reports.
The Euless Police Department stated that the deadly crash happened at State Highway 183 near Main Street just after midnight. A sedan was traveling on the SH-183 and struck road debris. A tire on the vehicle went flat.
The driver moved off to the right shoulder and crossed the double white lines in front of the entrance ramp from main street. An minivan entering the highway did not see the sedan and struck it. The sedan driver was killed instantly.
The minivan driver stopped and cooperated with police. Multiple other cars also reported that something in the roadway was making their tires flat in that area, including an Euless fire engine. No charges are expected to be filed against the minivan driver.
We wish to extend our condolences to the family of the slain driver. Police will need to figure out what the debris was causing all the flat tires. If it can be traced to some other driver who failed to secure their load right, that driver could be held liable.
