Head-On-Crash In Cleburne Leaves Two Dead

Road safety and defensive driving are skills that should be taught without ceasing to Texas drivers. These topics are increasingly important, which is illustrated by just how many fatal accidents happen on Texas roads and highways. One driver may make a slight mistake, perhaps while driving distracted or under the influence, and others on the road are instantly put in danger. In fact, it is often the case that one mistake on the road can cause a chain reaction that leads to increasingly more dangerous collisions.

This is what happened near Cleburne, Texas last Friday, according to this report from CBS DFW. This incident happened just before 4:00 in the afternoon on Park Road 21, near County Road 1224.

According to the authorities, a maroon pickup was following behind a white pickup on Park Road 21. The maroon pickup hit the back of the white one as they approached an intersection. But this was not the worse part of the collision.

As a result of this impact, the white truck traveled across the center lane into oncoming traffic, where a black truck was traveling southbound and crashed head-on with the white pickup.

The white truck was sent spinning and caught fire. Two people in the white pickup were pronounced dead at the scene. Others from both the white pickup and the black one were taken to the hospital with non-trivial injuries.
