Additionally, 391,000 were injured in accidents involving distracted driving, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. When technology like phones, GPS, radios or other electronics take focus away from driving safely the results can be devastating.

    In 2017, the total number of reported collisions on Texas roads was 537,475. Of those incidents, 19% were attributed to distracted driving, according to the Texas Department of Transportation. Additionally, with the 100,687 crashes in Texas 444 resulted in fatalities and 2,889 caused serious injuries.
