Crash Between Truck and Small Car Ends In Woman’s Death

Many accidents, even fatal traffic accidents, can be avoided. Too many crashes these days are caused by the poor choices of one or more drivers. For example, the decision to drive home from a party while intoxicated may seem innocent or mildly rkisky, but that decision can easily end in disaster.

Other accidents are much less complicated. There are times when no one is at fault, when no one has made a poor or foolish decision, and no one was driving in a dangerous manner. There are times when all of those involved are simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. These accidents can be the result of something small, a split second of distraction, a single misjudgment. But even an accident in which no one is at fault can result in injuries, extensive property damage, stressful medical expenses, and, in some instances, even death.

This is what happened last Wednesday at 6 a.m., near Azle, Texas. A pickup truck and a small passenger car crashed on FM 730 at Portwood Road. Soon after the crash, Tarrant County Sheriff’s Deputies rushed into action to provide assistance.

Unfortunately, one person involved, a 40-year-old woman lost her life. The other person involved, a man, was transported to Harris Hospital and expected to survive. No charges are being filed, according to this CBS-DFW report.
