Car Breaks Into Three Pieces In Accident
They design cars these days to crumple and break apart to dissipate the energy of a crash away from a driver. That may be what saved the life of a man in a crash that happened in Perry on Monday. AdelNews.com reports.
The police department received many 911 calls about the accident, which happened just before 10:30 AM on Monday. The accident happened on Highway 141.
The driver was treated at the scene by Dallas County Paramedics and taken to the hospital. The police and fire trucks also responded to the accident. The driver’s condition is unknown at this time, but he left the scene living. His car may have saved his life.
When the car, a 2014 Honda Accord, lost control and left the roadway, it hit a traffic light pole and broke into three pieces. Police believe that the man may have been speeding toward the intersection at the time, but the investigation is still on-going.
Regardless of the reason, breaking apart like may have kept the driver safe. However, if the police do think the driver was speeding, then he may face charges. Fortunately, no other vehicles were involved in the accident. It is possible that he may have sped up trying to beat a stoplight.
