Accident on Highway 67 Claims 2 Lives
Two motorists have died as the result of a single car crash in the HOV lane of Highway 67. The accident happened close to Loop 12 in Dallas earlier this month.
Law enforcement officials from the Dallas Police Department said that for some reason a vehicle was headed southbound in a closed HOV lane. The vehicle smashed into a concrete barrier at a high rate of speed then exploded into a ball of flames.
Dallas Fire Department personnel were at the scene of the calamity Monday afternoon, while Highway 67’s outside lanes in both directions remained closed to traffic as investigators studied the wreckage and attempt to piece together any facts that would shed light on the cause of the accident.
