A Fatal Dallas Crash Leads To Manhunt
Careless driving can lead to horrifying accidents on the road. This happens every day, unfortunately. Drivers get distracted or choose to drive under the influence, and this leads to serious injuries or even death. To make matters worse, others are often hurt in these situations even when the careless driver that caused the problem gets away.
This is what happened in Dallas on Sunday morning according to Fox 4 News. It was early in the morning, just before 5:00 a.m., when a vehicle with a 49-year-old man and a 77-year-old woman were traveling northbound on Webb Chapel Road. As they entered the intersection of the I-635 service road, another vehicle rant the red light and smashed into them at what officials are called a “high rate of speed.”
The vehicle that ran the red light caused the innocent vehicle to crash into a retaining wall. Both driver and passenger in this vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the offending vehicle was also detained because of injuries and is being treated at a hospital.
What about the driver of the vehicle that ran the red light? This person fled the scene and is still being searched for by authorities. What would cause a person to flee like that? That will be for law enforcement personnel to find out when they catch the suspect. In the meantime, the names of those involved have not yet been released.
