    Careful Of The Rocks!

Accidents can be caused by any number of factors. These factors may include hazardous road conditions, driver inexperience, or a driver being distracted or overtired. When an accident involves an 18-wheel truck, it can be especially dangerous. Authorities just don’t know what may have caused a recent crash involving a big rig gravel hauler crashed into a sign in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 20 in Dallas County on Thursday morning.CBS’ DFW local station website reports that the driver of the 18-wheeler struck an overhead sign along the highway, causing it to fall on to the roadway and to strike the rig. The impact caused the truck to overturn onto its side, spilling rocks, gravel and hydraulic fluid from the vehicle onto the roadway.Emergency crews which included police, Dallas Fire and Rescue, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), and a hazmat team were called to the scene of the crash. The hazmat team was on hand to deal with the spill of hydraulic fluid as well as to prevent any potential hazard to other drivers and environmental concerns. The cleanup of the accident took a number of hours with traffic being backed up for miles. Investigators are still searching for answers as to what may have caused the accident. No information regarding injuries resulting from the crash or pending charges in the accident has been released.
