Search For Hit And Run Driver Continues

A pedestrian has been left seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash on Sunday morning and Carrollton Police are asking for the public’s help in the search for the vehicle and the driver that was involved in the crash. According to a story appearing on the Dallas-Fort Worth NBC affiliate station website, at approximately3:00 a.m. Carrollton Police officers responded to the scene located in the 4000 block of Marsh Lane. There they found 25-year-old Dallas man who was still lying in the roadway with injuries. Officials report that the man, whose identity has not been released, had been attempting to cross the road when he was struck by a vehicle.Emergency crews transported the man via ambulance to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Plano. Currently, he is listed in critical condition.Carrollton Police are looking for the suspect vehicle which is described as a dark gray Toyota 4Runner that was possibly made within the model years of 2010 to 2013. Investigators say that the SUV most likely has suffered significant front-end damage from having struck the pedestrian and is missing the silver Toyota logo from the vehicle’s grill which was left at the scene.  Anyone with any further information about the suspect vehicle is encouraged to contact the Carrollton Police Department.

We hope that the offender is caught and brought to justice. Hit and run drivers are among the most cowardly of people. It is everyone’s duty to stay at the scene of an accident and render aid to anyone who might be injured. In a pedestrian case, it’s even more critical. Never flee the scene of an accident.
