Couple Dies After Double Rear-End Accident
Two people are dead after a three-vehicle accident on Interstate 40 near Santa Rosa on Monday.
According to the New Mexico State Police, the accident occurred when a car rear-ended a semi-tractor trailer and the car was rear-ended by a third vehicle.
Authorities have identified the two victims in the crash as Samuel Herrera, 25, and Katherine Herrera, 24 of Arlington, Texas.
The accident is still currently under investigation. Investigators say, however that the factors of alcohol, weather and road conditions have been ruled out in the fatal crash.
It may be a while before the investigators conclude their investigation before anyone knows what happened.
