One Dead in Dealey Plaza Crash

Dallas Police were called to the intersection of Elm, Main and Commerce scene at approximately 3:00 a.m. Investigators say that a 2017 Lexus traveling on Elm Street at a high rate of speed crashed into a concrete bridge support when the driver failed to make the curve in the roadway which passes under a railroad overpass.
A passenger in the vehicle who had not been wearing a seatbelt was ejected from the vehicle. Emergency crews transported the passenger to Parkland Hospital where they are currently listed in critical condition.
Police investigators say that the driver was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office has not released the identity of the driver pending notification of family.
