Major Charter Bus Crash in South Texas
Eight people have died and approximately 40 additional people were injured after a charter bus crash in South Texas.
According to authorities, the accident happened on Highway 83 North, near Laredo filled with casino-goers headed to Laredo rolled over.
Emergency crews from the Webb County Volunteer Fire Department and units from the City of Laredo responded to the call of the multiple-fatality accident.
Officials closed Highway 83 during the rescue of those who were injured and to investigate the crash.
The National Transportation Safety Board will be sending agency officials to assist with the ongoing investigation surrounding the bus crash.
